Linderhof is our favorite among all of King Ludwig‘s fairy-tale castles. His home, the palace he withdrew to in melancholy and solitude, is something of an enchanted wonderland.

At Linderhof, Ludwig indulged all his romantic ideas including Versailles-style gardens and fountains, a dining room with the disappearing table, an original Moroccan pavilion, the breakfast table he shared with his favorite horse, and the ultimate highlight: his private Venus Grotto, where he listened to Wagner music while rowing in his golden swan-shaped boat on an artificial underground lake. Naturally, he could also switch on his private waterfall…

Let DD take you on an exceptional privatetour of the palace with access to astounding extra details and charming anecdotes, unavailable to regular visitors.
