One of the world’s largest city parks, Munich’s English Garden is the green heart of the city. This is where locals come to relax, play and picnic while enjoying the enchanting landscape and gardens. Not quite so English, is the surfing on the canal. Ambitious surfers are part of the picture here, where a large artificial wave in the ice-canal makes for some unusual entertainment. Other options include renting a pedal boat at the idyllic lake or simply enjoying some down time in the leafy beer gardens.
